Uniden’s WHAMx4 is a full function wireless 2.4GHz Digital remote for the new UM Fixed mount series(Um525, UM625c, UM825) Up to 4 remotes can be added and all 4 act as intercom stations. Operates every function of the main station including DSC, programming, etc. The WHAMx4 can also communicate WHAM TO WHAM up to .5 miles apart without tying up the main VHF statioin. WHAMx4 can operate with up to 2 radio stations, great for upper and lower radio installations. Stylish charging cradle can be mounted on the bulkhead, dash, or pedestal and with its inductive charging means no contacts are exposed to the elements on either the charger or remote unit, the charging cradle is suitable for yacht installations in state rooms, etc. Delivers 8 hours of continuous operation on supplied rechargeable nickel metal hydride batteries or operates on 6AAA alkaline batteries. JIS 7 Tested and certified submersibility and it also floats!
