The EasyTroller mounts directly to the engine's cavitation plate. It snaps down into position behind the prop to slow the boat down to the ideal trolling speed, and can be released with the pull cord when ready to run at speed. If you inadvertently accelerate before raising the trolling plate, the hinged plate will simply flex and deflect the thrust downward rather than bending. The Fins Model is equipped with easy mount hydrofoil fins to help your boat plane faster and will improve your fuel economy.- The EasyTroller's patented hinge design prevents damage to the trolling plate under inadvertent acceleration
